Trapped

She stares out the window, trapped in
The cell she calls her room, with the
Lock in her head and the key in her heart,

There are no prison guards, just mental blocks.
Sentenced by her memories,
Experiences got the best of her.

Doesn’t want to be released, not looking to be free.
Trapped in a moment, can’t see the painting
When the brush strokes seem relevant.
