Echo Through Time

His death
An echo through time
To his loved ones
To her

An echo of remembrance
Reminders, in the mundane
Eventually the echo will fade
Fade without her permission

The echo will fade
As will the reminders
The day she fears most
The day she forgets

The echo will never disappear
Always there, here, everywhere
Simply fade, dissolve, quiet
Until it screams once more

The echo manifests itself
Into our emotions
Fear, sadness, rage
For her it was sadness

The day the echo dissolves
Sadness will with it
But she will look back
The echo will have evolved

Tears in her eyes,
Tears of joy
The day she looks back one day
And appreciates the life they had
